Whats going wrong with Three?

Maybe its just me but utterly fed up with Three, they had been brilliant with my mobile phone - everything just worked

 

So when Sainburys stopped their phone service I got my wife a cheap PAYG with a £10 top up from the online shop, she has had the phone 2 weeks and the £10 still isn't there. Spent ages on chat and they said they couldn't fix it as they had no proof of the £10 payment - even though they had sent me an email confirming it?! Asked me to email invoices etc to customer services who just keep ignoring email after email

 

A lot of the time when I visit their website it is down, or breaks, isitdown reports 2 days down, but 3 days ago it reported 6 days down - so maybe thats part of it

Isn`t it 3 where you have to have a smart phone for their network to work?

 

Not since about 1936.

If I remember correctly it just had to be a 3G compatible phone, back in the day when there weren't so many about. Obviously these days 3G is the norm and 4G is fast becoming standard too.

I don't think I've ever had a problem with Three, but then again I'm not on PAYG and I don't really use their website. I can see how it could be frustrating, according to your link you're not the only one experiencing the problems.

Have you tried taking your proof of purchase to a Three shop?
