ValH
Any memories of a small, private lending library run by a Mr Smith and his son Eric in the late '40s/early '50s near Endcliffe Park? It was located in the back room of a house probably in Louth, Peveril or Ranby Road. There was a small fee for borrowing books - up to 3 per person - and adult and children's books were available. Mr Smith also ran a little mobile library - his son Eric drove a small van with books in the back at least as far as Handsworth.
