Solution
Well its seems the power of Facebook has finally shut the door on FU. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-35343091 I did enjoy this site, but it seems Facebook has taken over the world when it comes to social media. I'm sure most of us have facebook accounts, but how many of us used Friends Reunited when it was first developed?

Solution
who are they? Ha, yes. Exactly! I suppose I was an old fart when I first used a computer, and my interweb connection was a penny a minute on dial up. Friends Reunited was pretty popular back then, and to be honest I haven't used it for years! After hearing it on the news today about its closure, I logged on after a few attempts at remembering the password, and its just as I remember. I'm sure Facebook is much more up to date in this modern age. My daughter has just told me that back then, she and her friends were members of a social site called Bebo. How times have changed, but are still the same!! ---------- Post added 18-01-2016 at 20:28 ---------- its a sort of early social network, from 2000 Its one of the first websites i used when i first started online in 2000 However like it says in the link i didnt actually use it often, just dipped in when i fancied checking up on old school friends, people i knew from school That sounds about right! 999tigger
who are they? Are you being serious? As a website it was a phenomena for the UK with plenty of schoolfriends getting in touch and then having affairs. The awesome thing was for soemthing that was started and run from someones bedroom they managed to flog it to Granada for £175m or something. It was #1 on the UK for a while, but never moved on and was overtaken / crushed by facebook.
medusa
I don't have an account, I'm not interested in finding any of my old school friends. The ones I was interested in keeping in touch with, I kept in touch with.
francypants
I've never been on Friends Reunited or Facebook. Not bothered about either.

As said earlier, it was very popular in the early naughties for a lot of people.

JFKvsNixon
facebook seems to cause lots of problems for the contents of jeremy kyle's menagerie I think that probably got more to do with the contents of Jeremy Kyle's menagerie than Facebook itself.
