gadget_man
There was a waste crushing plant at Archer road coal depot in the early seventies. It belonged to the Sheffield city council and we used to tip the bin lorries household waste there. Don't know if its the same place you're looking for but hope it helps. Cycleracer
I lived at Woodseat's in about 1962/63 and remember very little but i do remember my Dad taking me down for a walk I was only a young child and we looked down some concrete or stone steps to a railway station below which was Millhouses station but what sticks out on that rare memory I have at that time is I remember seeing two round buildings ( rather like the things that hold gas very close to it, I wonder if that was the same place. Laycocks was on the other side of the railway to the location being discussed. There are units in place now at this location, their uses I am not aware of !
