This talk is given by Positive Money, a campaign to create a money and banking system that works FOR society and not against it. Our monthly meetups are for everyone interested in how our money system works and how it could be changed to be constructive and socially beneficial.

 

In our first talk of 2016, Mike Black will explain how private banks create the nation's money supply "out of thin air", at the same time creating mountains of unsustainable debt. It will be a 'back to basics' session, so if the ideas are new to you, or if you feel you need a refresher, this one is especially for you.
