Chazndave
Hi, I want a cheap place to go for a meal and a couple of drinks after work in the town centre. Dont fancy weatherspoons as bored of their menu. Cant afford places in Leopold Square as they are very expensive I think. Any ideas

taxman
Ego do special offers depending on the day of the week...last time we went on a Monday it was 2 courses plus a bottle of wine for £20. Or there's always The Museum for pub grub and Mamas & Leonies for cheap but basic Italian.

bethanywalke
Hi, I want a cheap place to go for a meal and a couple of drinks after work in the town centre. Dont fancy weatherspoons as bored of their menu. Cant afford places in Leopold Square as they are very expensive I think. Any ideas If you're looking for Wetherspoon type places, Yates is pretty similar. Or places like Pizza Express, Vodka Revolution. Not mega expensive and chains are generally cheaper than the independent restaurants.

thestig2004
Either the Rutland Arms or the Red Lion (Charles Street) - good pub food and beers.
rodge1980
For me, it has to be Cafe Roma on castle street. Brill food, all pizza and pasta dishes only £5 until 8 o'clock You can get a beer or a glass of wine in there, all food cooked in front of you by the man himself. We take kids every other saturday at lunchtime and can't praise the place highly enough for value and quality and also just to be made welcome Give it a try
