I occasionally listen to BBC radio Sheffield not all the time just random whenever times I have never heard them talk about Sheffield Wednesday on there football talks atleast not as much as they talk about the 'Blades'

Why is this?

Well, football heaven invites fans to call in and discuss their club. If Wednesday fans don't call as often as United, Rotherham, Donny, Barsnely and Chesterfield then they won't be talking about Wednesday as much...

But if you only listen now and again then youll not always fall on a Wednesday call, will you ?

If you listened last night it was full of United supporters complaining about Adkins and for once no Brian the Blade. I feel that they have a point but it is not easy for him as he is stuck with the poor squad that Clough left. However he does appear to stick with certain players who are not popular.

As he did with McEverly who is now playing really well. Are you referring to Sammon here?

Yeah thats when I listened but don't think I heard anything of wednesday

It sometimes depends on which club has the 'biggest story' of the day

Usually, a club doing particularly well for the last few weeks, or the night before in a particular game, then create an influx of 'how great we are' calls.

Normally though, people moaning about a bad result, a bad game, a 'bad player' or 'our crap manager' take up a larger proportion of the airwaves.

Despite being in the top 7 or 8 for most of the season, Blades fans have had a lot of airplay over the last month or so, especially Thursday night following the 3-0 down, 3-3 draw.

It's always the same on Radio Sheffield, 5 Live or TalkSPORT. Bad news always provokes more calls than a sterling performance, or a good spell of results.
