Considering going to Hillsborough car boot for first time tmw. Are buyers let on at 7am or later please and will anyone even be there to sell considering rain last couple of days?

According to their Facebook page, conditions should be ok and they will go ahead. They say they will do a final inspection at 6.30 tomorrow morning and post on their facebook page then, if they should need to cancel. It is usually well-attended. We arrive at 7.30 but see people already there. So 7am arrival worth trying.

Please note when letting sellers in we will try and let the people waiting in the top car par park first but our priority is always going to be to keep the main road clear.

These events take place in order to raise much needed funds for our charity. The selling of crisps drinks and sweets is in direct competition to our own fundraising efforts and therefore not allowed on this site.

 

•SYAC is a registered charity.

. All money raised is invested in our facilities.

 

We are hoping that the money we make this summer from our car boots will pay for much needed renovation work on our premises and help with IT and Esol classes for our community.

Apologies for lateness of reply, Catachpenny Car Boot Fitzwilliam is now under full steam. Good turnout yesterday, both seller and buyer. If you are hoping to sell, 6.30 is a good time to target for getting there, it runs out of steam 11.30-12. But don't expect a lot of selling space, he really does shoe horn you in for your £10, and as a short fuse if you take issue, which I have seen a couple of times resulting in the seller being evicted and banned!!! That said, you can politely ask for more space, but expect to be charged more, don't know how much though.

Any info on the boot at Thorpe Hesley on Sunday? Will it have survived the "April Shower" we got late last evening??

isn't looking good for Thorpe hesley imho, they don't want their cricket pitch messing up if the grounds too soggy

It would be very helpful if we could have an early indication on Saturday whether Thorpe Hesley and Hillsborough Sports Area carboots will be taking place. The weather for Sunday looks OK according to the weather forecast tonight.
