SGSF
Calling members of all green space user groups (friends of parks groups etc) in Sheffield! The Sheffield Green Spaces Forum (SGSF) committee would like to invite you to the next General Forum meeting on Wednesday 20th January at 7pm. It is being held in The University of Sheffield Arts Tower Floor 13 Room 13:17 Postcode S10 2TN Refreshments will be provided, with grateful thanks to the Landscape Department at the University of Sheffield . There are free car parking spaces available in the building car park and there will be someone at the entrance to the Arts Tower to meet you. Guest speaker will be Paul Billington, Sheffield City Council's Director for Culture and Environment. Paul will be following up on actions promised in his previous visit and also answering any new questions groups may have. If you would like Paul to answer a question please send your questions to us for inclusion on the 20th January. The Sheffield Green Spaces Forum has been set up with help from Parks & Countryside in SCC, as a voluntary umbrella organisation for Friends of Parks groups and other volunteer led groups, who manage Sheffield's community green spaces with the Council. We hold bi-monthly meetings where representatives from these groups can come together and share information, resources, good ideas, lessons learned and build connections with other groups. We want to build up a solid network, which will work together to preserve and promote Sheffield's valuable parks and green spaces. We really hope to see you there, or at one of our future meetings if you can't make this one. SGSF is trying to collate an up to date list of contacts for volunteer groups who manage green spaces in Sheffield; if there is a group which hasn't been included on the mail out or if you would like to be taken off the list because your group no longer exists, for example, please contact us on the email address below. Thank you for your patience with this matter, it is appreciated. Could you send any questions for Paul Billington, replies or enquiries to s.hardy@sgsf.org.uk please Many thanks
