zanna 10 #1 Posted December 31, 2015 Hi Guys, I am looking to have a radiator moved and wondered if you wouldn’t mind letting me know what I would expect to pay. I am moving to a new city (sob) where I don’t know any tradesmen and am worried about getting ripped off. I would like to know what would be a reasonable quote to accept? I have put a link to the room… http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r5/susannesatur/Untitled_zpszlamybce.jpg http://s140.photobucket.com/user/susannesatur/media/Untitled_zpszlamybce.jpg.html I would like a tall radiator (which I will supply) putting in the alcove and the big radiator removing. MANY THANKS!! Susanne
 Share this content via...
Sam @ Dearne 10 #2 Posted January 2, 2016 Hi, There are lots of assumptions here, like is the floor concrete or floorboards, what type of heating system is it, are joist or other obstructions going to cause an issue. So, I will simply say that this type of job should be able to be done in 3 hours or less. My typical charges are £45 for the first hour and £25 per hour after that. So on that basis £95 plus parts. Parts would include, copper pipe, fittings etc....Parts should be around £15 ish. If you budget at around £100, you should be ok, but the cost could go either way. Good luck and hope you get a friendly and quality plumber.
 Share this content via...
