Good pubs on Ecclesall road

Haven't been on eccy road for about a year, What good pubs are open on eccy road with a good atmosphere.

What's pointing dog, nonnas like now? Further down the road I heard Menzels had shut but now reopened is it worth going in there?

The Beer House (micro pub at Hunters Bar) is good.

The Portland, just a few doors up from The Nursery Tavern. I agree with The Beer House too.

pointing dog is good for a nice selection of beers, wines and it serves Sheffields own Loxley Gin, prices tend to keep the rif raf away:hihi: good atmosphere and the foods not bad too.

Nonnas is more like a bistro now as drinkers tend to go in the pointing dog and Menzels well.....10 bob millionaires, grab a granny and fake tans last time i went in:hihi:

Further up you have the Banner Cross which is more traditional and quiet. The Lescar hasn't changed much really, although I've never particularly liked it.

The Beer Engine is decent, down near Waitrose.
