Where in sheffield can I buy video tapes?

Recommended Posts

I hope this is the right place to start this thread.

Can anyone tell me of anywhere that still sells videos? I still have a good VCR player and continue to use it, however many of my tapes are becoming old and poor quality and would like to purchase some new ones.

I'm thinking it'll be charity shops or market stalls but not aware of any.

I realise it's a long shot but thought I'd ask anyway!

Thanks:)

Maybe it's time to move on?

The thing that replaced the thing that replaced videos seems to be in the process of being replaced. So unless you've got some specialist videos that you cannot access any other way, which considering you can find almost anything on the internet, maybe the 21st century awaits?

Haha!

I thought I'd prolong life in my VCR as it still works.

I have a DVD player too but kept my videos as I still had the means to watch them and it was cheaper to keep them.

I know lots of other people either got rid of their VCR and videos or want rid of them so maybe they are selling them somewhere, cheap?

Also, I like physical copies of things!

Loads of new ones for sale on Ebay.

I know but they are too expensive as they include postage costs.

Thanks though.

If they're Scotch video tapes, could you claim some money back under their lifetime guarantee? How does the advert go -

:hihi:

Would I be guessing rightly that you no longer have a VCR?

I don't know if I'm in a minority but I still think a lot of people still have them.

I got rid of my DVD player a good while ago, and to be honest I don't even use my Blu-ray player much nowadays. I can't see myself buying any Blu-rays any more, I think that they've had their day as well.

I don't even know what Blu-ray is!

I'm at the stage where I barely watch TV. It's on in the background whilst I'm watching something on Youtube or doing other stuff whilst sat at my desktop. If my TV breaks then my VCR will become obsolete finally as I aren't really bothered about getting a new one!

At the moment though, my TV and VCR still work so will use them whilst I have them. My DVD player broke a few months ago and I've not bothered replacing it and not sure if I'm going to bother.

I'm not ready to use Netflix or Lovefilm etc yet.
