Thanks friends. OK so based on what you've said I should do the following things

Ignore them

Buy them a drink

Do some Ninja moves on their faces

I'm staying in this weekend anyway cos I wasted about £372 on online bingo on Wednesday so the feeling I've got is what's known in the game as 'skint and brassicked'. Next week though I'll be hitting the towns.

Maybe you should stay in more. Youre not very good at the social stuff. Incidentally where the hell do you work? it sounds awful.

This isn't a patch on your normal threads. Time for Christmas break to come up with some new material. Too obvious typos and theme sadly. And no mention of your friend, who's name I've forgotten...

There was a Stephen early on.

Haha love this :hihi:

I find it rather strange that you would ignore anyone you work with... Why wouldn't you say hello to someone in the workplace whilst passing and why wouldn't you say hello when you see them out and not think of it as being alien?

I work in a company that has around 70+ staff and I know each and every single one of them and always say hello even though most of them work in a completely different area to me..

Most bizarre that you feel this way.

LOL!! You know 70 people? That's more people than I've known in my whole life (if you don't count teachers and family people). Some people in life do seem to love everyone and want peace and happiness for all (these people are called 'hippies'). I am not one though. I just want to be left alone to sort my head out etc. Also one of the things about having a job is that you get paid for it. Part of that is for the actual work you do but part of it is like compensation for having to deal with your coworkers.

Sooooo, just because you are polite and friendly and say hello to people in passing you're a hippie? Well, then I'm a hippie and damn proud if that's the case! :hihi:

Sure thing isn’t it. I’m not saying hippies are bad people. They tend to be OK and happy to let me be myself. The main rivals to the hippies are the ‘punks’. You’ll have heard about these people cos they spit a lot and some even bang their heads against walls and listen to music such as SEXPISTOLS, MADNESS, STRANGLERS and KULA SHAKER (that is to say they listen to uncontrollable screaming and banging because their way of life is so vicious). Please note, I am defo not one of these. I am somewhere between a hippie and a punk. Basically I am just a normal person trying to get on with my life.

In that case your co-workers must be on a 6 figure salary for putting up with you!

I'm not sure what makes me smile more, the OP or the many, many SFers who really don't get the joke.

I think everyone gets the joke!

Facetious springs to mind....
