Is it illegal for a British citizen living in uk to support ISIS?

You know what - I dont care if its religious or racial hatred.

The upshot is, they are in the streets of this country, threatening to behead people.

Am I the only one here who sees this as a problem

It was a placard

calling for anyone who insults the prophet Mohammed to be beheaded have been waved during an angry protest outside the Danish Embassy in London.

Its from 2006. Perhaps the police looked at it an decided it wasn't aimed at anyone in particular or the CPS didnt think it serious enough to warrant prosecution as it would be difficult to prove the whole nation felt threatened.

It happens all the time, there was a televised march not long ago, cant remember who the woman was, Stacey someone, but she was trying to interview people on the march, and they were coming out with the same things "behead non beleivers" "sharia law in the Uk" etc, etc

Even called her a whore because of the way she was dressed.

I can just imagine the outcry if it was the other way round, and hundreds of english blokes were demonstrating and shouting crucify non christians...

Theres an offence

Public Order Act 1986

. Section 5 makes it an offence to use “threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour” or to display “any writing, sign or other

visible representation which is threatening, abusive or insulting” within the hearing or sight of a person “likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress thereby”.

But you have to have someone within hearing or sight being caused alarm or distress. In a way ist cleverly written becayse it doesnt say behead non believers it says behead people who insult our religion, which is a step back. Im sure if the police felt if it was out of hand they would step in.

I agree, dissenters to the Great British cause should be killed. The government should decide for us who we support and who we don't.

What sort of ludicrous statement is this?

What's the 'Great British cause' when it's at home?

Not really as it doesnt fit the offence.

16 Threats to kill.

A person who without lawful excuse makes to another a threat, intending that that other would fear it would be carried out, to kill that other or a third person shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years

So it has to be made against a person and the person would have to fear it would be carried out.

No because it was just a placard. Read your own link. You have to have a realistic fear the beheading would be carried out against you. It isnt enough that its offensive. Read your own link.

Perhaps it would, but it's a hypothetical point isn't it, unless we actually have a crowd of hundreds of Muslims shouting it at people in the street.
