Mr Hinks   10 #1 Posted November 19, 2015 The AT and fish legal have started talks with the Environment agency regarding changes to the rod licence and the close season.  Rod licence changes are with respect to Carp and specie anglers having to buy two full licences but only being allowed to use three rods. No mention of costs as yet.  What if any changes can be made to the close season I don't know. Some say it should be abolished some say it shouldn't. Perhaps the only ones who would benefit would be the tackle trade. Whatever people think fish spawn as soon as the temperature is above 14 degrees that is generally in spring, apart from Carp that need warmer temps.
