Filming in locations around Sheffield

Recommended Posts

Just been walking back from work and saw 3 huge arctic lorries with "MOVIE MAKERS" emblazoned across the side and rear then noticed some yellow signs pointing to "J3 BASE" and also carter knowle road is "CLOSED FRPOM 1ST FEB 2016 FOR 5 DAYS 09:00 TO 15:30"

I do have pics of the signs etc. (I know they are definitely filming signs as I have seen them before with Doctor Who filming locations)

I wonder if its because it they didn't need to do much to make the set or people look like it was the 1970s!

Actors wearing high waisted flares, corduroy jackets and extra-large collars have been shooting on location at Record Junkee on Cambridge Street, La Perle Cafe in the Wicker, and private homes in Meersbrook.

Is it ITV crews filming around the city at the mo?

There's some filming being done on Friday by ITV in the S6/S10 area.

They are also making a film about the1980s Ann Summer Parties and at the moment are filming at Edward Pryors at the bottom of the Moor.

It stars Sophie Rundle of the Peaky Blinders, the film will be called The Brief Encounter.

A film called "How to talk to girls at parties" is currently being filmed around the Carterknowle area, and stars Nicole Kidman of all people.

Sorry - just seen that someone has already pointed that out. Will get my specs!

There appears to be a very bright white light shining from Crookes area over towards Stannington. It's bright enough to be uncomfortable to look at.

Does anyone have any idea what it is?
