Beighton Bypass A57 speed limit

Recommended Posts

How's that work then?

I'm guessing that drivers who regularly broke the previous NSL are going to continue regularly breaking the 50mph speed limit, but will now have to overtake more law abiding cars as a result.

It seems like they used the installation of the new lampposts to reduce the speed limit as well. No advance notice, no consultation, no chance to make a case for leaving it as it was, it just happens because our council knows best.

They'd get a higher level of readership by publishing it here (seriously) or by shouting it out on Fargate a few times (not quite so serious).

Seriously, why is a speed reduction going to make drivers take more risks unless they are stupid?

He didn't say "take more risks", he said "overtake more law abiding vehicles"...

Nothing like changing the words is there.

Reducing limits on roads like this is only going to make drivers take more risks to overtake.

The original quote was from alchosearch. Keep up.
