I wonder what kind of reaction there would be if a "Music Of White Origin" awards night was started ?

In todays PC climate I would give it about two minutes before someone played the racist card

Sam Smith won a MOBO in 2014, Sam Smith is whiter than white.

 

It's not exclusive to Black people, but includes artists who have been influenced by music of black origin.

 

No racism here, nothing to see as per usual.

The genres of music represented in the MOBOs are of black origin. In fact rather prevalent genres not specifically covered by the MOBOs i.e. pop and rock also owe a lot to black music in their origin and influences. There's not really anything anyone can do about this; it's just how it is. Clearly, if you were as interested in music as in getting flustered you'd already know this.

 

You'd also have noticed that white people and various other shades of person work within black music genres and if you'd paid attention to the awards over the years, you'd have seen that they have been nominated for awards and have won. Hope these shocking revelations haven't caused you to drop your card.
