Good post! and I've spent many an hour in the blue ball at worrall

Following in my fathers and grandfathers footsteps joining in the singing of these

Ancient carols! But not done this for a few years now.

You should try getting to some sings this year!.......the "Local Carols" are really popular now!

Apart from the Blue Ball at Worrall and the Royal at Dungworth, Where else is recommended for visitors to the area to hear the local carols over the Christmas period?

Local carols can be heard in the,Plough Inn at Bradfield, the Crown & Glove,and Lomas Hall Stannington

the Sportsman at Lodge Moor..........I am sure there are lots more.

Also The Wharncliffe arms -Wharncliffe side , 3 sundays starting 29th Nov 12 pm , get there early as a small pub but gets packed.

Humble-Swain will be leading the annual traditional local carol sing at ....Knowle Top Chapel, Stannington

on the 12th of December starting 10.30am.

All welcome!!! to come and sing!.......nice Xmas presents to buy as well as refreshments!
