Fastest speed on the parkway

Recommended Posts

The 70mph sections are actually National Speed limit sections to be picky.

You are correct, but some people think the National Speed Limit on a dual carriageway is 60mph.

It is if you're driving a van.

Yep and I suppose the OP didn't state the type of vehicle they were interest in.

To answer your question, it is 70mph from M1 to second turn off and Handsworth, 50mph until you pass the retail park and then 40mph.

Coming out of Sheffield it is 30mph until you hit the lights, then 50mph until you reach the ASDA then 70mph.

The op didn't actually ask what the speed limits were

Correct

It is 60mph.......unless there is a central barrier. 70mph only if a central barrier is present.

170 MPH as I was stupid enough to see what my bike could do on an empty road at 3am - result - 3 year ban !

Over two ton.

That's only for car derived vans. Any van not based on a car is 60 regardless of weight, even small vans like the Transit Connect.

If it doesn't have a central barrier/reservation then it isn't a dual carriageway :suspect:
