You could spend all day trawling charity shops and not find anything from the 60s; 99% of the stuff they have is more modern than that. A shop that is worth looking into is Mooch on Divison Street, though the clothes are dearer than charity-shop clothes.

I bought a lovely sixties dress from Freshmans on Carver Street not long ago, their prices arent bad at all.

Theres also 'A New Shop' on Division Street.

I'd love to find some retro clothes for my children. Do any of these kinds of stores sell kids clothes too?

As above the Nichols building. Think it opens about 11am.

On Shalesmoor, it is the old building just past Harrolds the lock smiths. Left hand side coming from West Bar rounabout.

There is a Council car park opposite or free on road parking if you can find a space.

Worth a visit.
