Apparently its a complete nightmare around the Nottingham area in case you are going that way....

I saw some dreadful driving on my way to work this morning then came in to read this. RIP to both involved!

It has caused chaos for miles around, trouble is its such an important point,

 

No real way round it now, a38 is jammed solid

I read on my rac app that a herse had overturned on one of the roads going into Nottingham this morning. Glad I wasn't heading south today.

I got caught in this - 5.5hrs to the outskirts of Coventry! As I returned home and passed the scene at apx 5pm it was still closed as they needed to resurface. I think the estimated opening time was between 7-8pm.

 

Very tragic tale of events.

It says in some reports that the driver was 87!!! Something really needs to be done to regularly check people who are still driving at that age.

87 and travelling the wrong way down a busy motorway.

 

Says it all really, thoughts go out to the woman who died in the van.
