juliehoward   10 #14 Posted October 12, 2015 Yeah! Thanks. Is there a report of the match anywhere? I'm trying to find out who scored the goals and when. Was it a good game? Any info about the day would be great.  ---------- Post added 12-10-2015 at 08:15 ----------  Do you know why the Kop threw oranges at Ron Springett. Weren't oranges quite expensive then? What happened to them?  ---------- Post added 12-10-2015 at 09:39 ----------  Hi it was the home game. AND does anyone know about the oranges?  ---------- Post added 12-10-2015 at 09:46 ----------  Does anyone know which pub Owls supporters would go to? (1961) Landlord? What it was like? Southey owl   10 #16 Posted October 13, 2015 (edited) Dobson and Fantham for us but Keith Smith scored the last goal, not sure who got it though.  As dobby says Colin Dobson and Johnny Fantham scored in the Owls 2 -1 win with Keith Smith scoring the last goal for West Brom. Smith was a prominent goalscorer for West Brom in the early 1960's. He played alongside some household names you might remember including the following. Jock Wallace goalie Don Howe full back Graham Williams Welsh international left back Stuart Williams another Welsh international full back Clive Clark winger David Burnside inside forward Derek Kevan inside forward Bobby Robson inside forward Bobby Hope midfield who some Owls fans may remember played for Wednesday in the mid to late 1970's. Ronnie Allen regular goalscoring centre forward. Edited October 13, 2015 by Southey owl
 Share this content via...
