LeMaquis   10 #14 Posted September 16, 2015 This is where its skewed. We have to pay to keep her incarcerated yet we could just give her a stiffer fine that would have sorted it. Instead we pay for her 6 years behind bars and only get £1 back.  Are you being serious? She ripped people off out of greed and you don't think she should go to prison? How bad should a crime be before anyone gets sent down? Sentencing is about punishment, not about saving taxpayers some money. Jeeeez.  ---------- Post added 16-09-2015 at 08:12 ----------  The law is an ass!  Pot, kettle....
 Share this content via...

The public are out of pocket and all these charity groups get is about 10p each. If she even bothers to pay the £
 Share this content via...
rapido   10 #16 Posted September 16, 2015 Ac I think people like her should be forced to pay back small amounts from any future earnings/benefits continually until the full debt is repair or for the rest of her life if need be. I don't think they should get away with it. As for the prisons being a joke I agree completely. For some it's an enjoyable time and it should not be.  If prison is an ' enjoyable' time, that says an awful lot about our society...thay some people would rather be incarcerated than out with the general public. What should prison be like?.
 Share this content via...
bladebeer   11 #17 Posted September 16, 2015 Ciminals laugh at the justice system as the senteces are a joke and there is no real prison anymore, its looked at as a inconvenience rather than hard time.  It also goes to show who are the only winners of on line bingo games. They really should be stopped from cashing in on people's weaknesses.
