Pork butchers down the Wicker

Sorry but can't help with that as I was only a lad of eleven at the time and didn't take any notice of others that worked in the shop.

I'm interested in finding a photo of this shop as I believe my relatives owned it. Anyone know what the name changed to after the war???:help:

It was Friedrich's from 1904 until well after the war. I think it probably closed down in the seventies or possibly early eighties. There is a link to a photo in Post 27 and there are others on the Picture Sheffield website.

I just picked up the deeds to my house which lists all the owners. One was Ernest Friedrich, Pork Butcher at 60 The Wicker.

 

He occupied my house from 1939 until his death in 1965.

I heard that the family were interned in a camp during either the first or second world war ( or both ?) Anyone know ?
