Looked at Sheffield in Google Earth recently?

Yep, noticed it about a week or so ago. Must have took employees at Google ages to build 3D models for every single building, tree, structure, in the UK!

Would make interesting reading or viewing, how they actually did it...

As much as I detest Google for its practices, they've certainly come up with some impressive stuff over the years: the search engine when it first came out, Google Earth, Streetview, and now this. Still don't like them as a company, though :P

To be fair, Google didn't invent Google Earth, the CIA did. It used to be called Keyhole Earth Viewer.
