If you had the cash and desire to rebuild a lost Sheffield building which one would you rebuild and why?

The pre war Burton building on Angel Street, it was a stunning Art Deco masterpiece.

Depending upon how much money was available

 

1) the original Sheffield Castle if it was 100 million

2) The ABC cinema if it was only 5 million

How about the old Abbeydale Boys grammar school on Hasting's Road.

 

A site which has remained derelict and the council has now acknowledged as leaving them short of a secondary school in that part of the city.

 

Crackers!!

Walker & Hall building which was at the back of the Peace Garden.

 

They have not improved with the modern designed buildings including Council Allotment Greenhouse!

The iconic Sheffield Twin Towers hated by many loved by millions you knew you were home when you spotted them !

The conservatory in Weston Park, rebuilt and restored to its beautiful former glory. It was allowed to get into a dreadful state before its eventual demolition.

Hillsborough National School, demolished in a 1930s act of vandalism. A branch of Woolworth's later occupied the site near Hillsborough Corner.
