'Black Diamonds' on TV?

Read somewhere that Catherine Bailey's book 'Black Diamonds,' the story of the rise and fall of the rival clans who owned Wentworth Woodhouse, and Wentworth Castle, is to be made into a TV series that will rival Downton Abbey.

 

I do hope so.

 

Anyone who has read 'Black Diamonds' will know it's a cracking story. I'm surprised it hasn't been done before.

Ooo, it's certainly a cracking read. It'd need a fair few series to do it justice I reckon.

 

For some reason, I'm picturing an 80s style mini-series, Woman of Substance -style....
