Andy   10 #1 Posted August 19, 2015 Hello I have the sad responsibility of organising a funeral. I would like to arrange a lunchtime buffet at a pub or other suitable place near Hutcliffe Wood. We expect about 25 - 30 people including a couple of children.  Can anyone recommend a local pub or suitable venue? I moved away from the area 5 years ago so am not sure what the local pubs are like.  Thanks in advance for any help  Andy.
 Share this content via...

scargill   10 #6 Posted August 19, 2015 We recently use the Robin Hood, they could not do enough to deliver what was required, even prepared extra food at very short notice. Highly recommended.
 Share this content via...
Jon26 Â Â 10 #7 Posted August 19, 2015 We used the rising sun on abbey lane for my Dad after the funeral at HWR. Plenty of parking and a good service. Â The Beauchief and Abbey are also good. Â We went to the Rising Sun as it was the last place I went with him before going to pick some bilberries at a secret nearby location. We didn't get any. Â Â Hope it all goes ok for you. DumDom   19 #9 Posted August 20, 2015 The Ale House on Fraser Road which is actually on the rear approach road to Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium. They have put a couple of wakes on recently in the lounge which is a separate room, with a bar . They can provide food as well. It's a real ale house which is a plus for some.
