Tank123   10 #25 Posted July 11, 2016 Well things have changed in the 10 years since I first posted - there's at least 5 places now in Sheffield that I can get a Masala Dosa  which do you like best? What do you make of urban choola?
 Share this content via...
jake   10 #26 Posted July 11, 2016 (edited)  which do you like best? What do you make of urban choola?  They are all quite different - I think Mavili on Glossop Rd has the nicest food and most restaurant like. Rama's Bridge is bit hit n miss. I've enjoyed East West as a cafe/take away, Arusuvai hs a lot of character but can be a bit random. I tried out the new take away on Ecclesall and really enjoyed their doss's. I haven't yet been to the one at the bottom of the Moor yet.  I quite like Urban Choola - but I thought it was north indian style food?  Great that Sheffield is starting to have more choice food wise though Edited July 11, 2016 by jake
 Share this content via...

hoekstra   10 #29 Posted August 14, 2016 East & West (got renamed to something totally forgettable for a while but think its gone back to the good old East & West name everyone round here knew before) and Arusuvai (formerly Dhanistas) both on Abbeydale Rd, fantastic food and the staff can't do enough for you. Theres an Arusuvai in Hillsborough as well, can't comment if the foods to the same standard as I've not been
 Share this content via...
hicksy3 Â Â 10 #30 Posted November 4, 2016 I went past my favourite place yesterday Sai Nivas on Cumberland St. Looks like it was some kind of bankrupt stock outlet. Great food in there but always seemed to struggle to fill tables. Â Â Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
 Share this content via...

Bob Arctor   11 #33 Posted December 3, 2016 Well things have changed in the 10 years since I first posted - there's at least 5 places now in Sheffield that I can get a Masala Dosa   Do you have that dilemma when you go to a South Indian restaurant where you think to yourself "I should have something other than a masala dosa for a change" and deliberate for a bit before having a masala dosa anyway?  I second the shouts for Sai Nivas and Maveli, both very good.
