Wimpy bar was on pinstone street I used to work there.

We used to go a couple of times a week for a "Shanty Brunch" - sort of a square fishcakey-thing and chips!

This was probably just after we turned decimal in '71 : I could be totally wrong, but 46p seems to ring a bell?!

I don't think it would have cost as much as that in 1971. A pint of beer was about 10p when we went decimal.

Maybe it was 4/6, and pre-decimal!

 

I was in London the day we went decimal, and even after all those 5-minute TV tuition jobs for months before, people were still confused!

I joined a queue at the Gloucester Road tube station kiosk to grab some of my usual ciggies, and found the seller was trying to sell 'em at double the price!

The one I remember was a small, dark-haired lass - she was really lovely!

If I hadn't been spoken for at the time....well....who knows?!

Could've been free Shanty Brunches for life!

I bet it was me as I am small 5.09 and add long dark hair i add it in a pony tail.
