What to do with a broken camera (handheld)

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

sorry if this is the wrong place.

My panasonic lumix hand held camera has recently decided to not turn on anymore, it's only 3 years old max but no big deal really as i have a newer camera now.

I have all the bits for it (charger and battery), and was wondering if anyone knows whats best to do with it? I'm not really interested in getting it repaired as I have a new camera now, but it seems a shame to just bin it if someone could make use out of it, even for parts? It's a subject i know nothing about, so any advice is appreciated.

Thanks, David

I'd just list it on eBay and describe it for parts only. I'm sure that somebody will buy it with the chance of repairing it, or for the charger/battery.

Is there a chance that any images are still on the camera though, or are they all on the SD card?
