Channel tunnel problems! caused by the illegal migrants.

Recommended Posts

Some of them are murderers who won't be held accountable, so you want them living next door to you. You lefties are absolute traitors to the British empire what's left of it.

These people are attempting to gain entry to the UK illegally so are committing a criminal act in doing so. If they had skills which the country requires they would be able to enter using the proper channels instead of costing the country millions of pounds by delaying people trying to earn a living honestly.

Exactly. So fed up of people coming into this country to scrounge of us. There is enough scroungers born and bred here! We should all be microchipped at birth and a fence round the country. So even if they do get through the tunnel, no microchip, one foot on english soil and an alarm goes off, then a snipper shoots them! Done.

If these people in Calais were to apply for citizenship in another EU country they would be able to enter legally as the holder of an European passport so France cannot be blamed for assisting them as the easiest way for France would be to grant them citizenship and there would be nothing the UK government would be able to do to stop or restrict them.

The damage to the British economy does not seem to feature much on this discussion but they are causing millions of pounds worth of damage when they break into lorries bringing goods to the UK

You don't think fleeing a devastating civil war might have anything to do with it?

where is the nearest safe country from any civil war happening right now?? or the last ten years say?

also why do you keep mentioning colour???? as far as i can see you are the only one that mentions colour? is it a hobby?

Playing the race card is a favoured tactic by the bleeding heart lefty. It diverts from the real issue, acts as a smokescreen and closes down the debate. Unfortunately for people such as Halibut, it isn't as effective as it used to be, so he may have to start answering questions such as "is France in the middle of a civil war?" and "what motivates illegal immigrants to bypass so many safe democratic countries and put themselves through further danger to specifically try to reach the UK?".

Just stepping over the border to one of the many countries bordering their own would solve that problem!

Oh wait! There are not the potential handouts to be had, may be that's why.

Easy way to solve the problem.

1) Send in a load of lorries "queuing at Calais for the channel crossing".

2) Let the migrants board the lorries.

3) Drive lorries back to Eastern Europe, or Siberia.

we havent got open borders for exactly this reason, we have done more than enough, now it is time to get tough and refuse all asylum seekers refugees to this country, toughen up the borders toughen up the physical barriers, enough is enough, we are not an open house for the 3rd world waifs and strays! the problem sits squarely in europe that is their point of entry so that is where the problem is not hundreds of miles away in Calais or the Uk.

Physical barriers? We're on an island remember...

You can't just bold a bit of a quote and act like that's the only thing I said, ignoring the part that already answers your (predictable bleeding heart) question.

As I said, they've already fled. They're in France for Christ's sake. Is there a civil war in France? If not, why, when they've reached safety, are they risking themselves to get to the UK instead? Could it be anything to do with our more generous welfare, housing and health policies, per chance? If not, then what is it? A deep rooted love of fish & chips and wet weather?

Not so sure the UK is more generous in any way - it is just easier to come to an English speaking country with no real ID checks and a large black economy.

I beg to differ.

In particular, the fact that every other major EU country requires a minimum period of social security benefits to be paid in for before you can claim benefits, still currently the case. On top of benefits there is free healthcare provision.

I think this is a much more likely pull for someone willing to risk the safety they have already reached, than the language we speak or our so-called black economy (which is smaller than countries like Germany and Italy in any case).
