Any one ere play Mariokart 8 online?

Am I the only one angered by an aspect of the online battle? When you're taken out of the game having had your 3 balloons burst, you can continue (invisibly) playing a limited part in the game attacking the remaining active players with banana and green shell items.

 

Imagine you're in a battle, driving along and then suddenly BOOM! you're taking out by a green shell at close range by an invisible asshole! how are you meant to guard against this?

 

This utterly ruins what is an otherwise brilliant game.
