Venue: Yellow Arch Studios, 30-36 Burton Road, Sheffield, S3 8BX

Organised by: Greenpeace South Yorkshire

On 19 September 2013 the crew of the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise, protesting the first ever oil drilling in the Arctic Ocean, were seized at gunpoint by Russian special forces. The events that unfolded sent shockwaves across the world.

Complete with never-before-seen footage and behind-the-scenes access, the documentary ‘Black Ice’ tells the story of the Arctic 30 from the moment they set sail to protest at the controversial Prirazlomnaya oil platform to their arrest, imprisonment… and what happened next.

Greenpeace South Yorkshire group presents a screening of the documentary with Q&A and raffle. Entry to the screening is free but donations welcome. All proceeds to go to the Save the Arctic campaign.
