Five loud bangs/shots last night??

Did anyone else hear five louds bangs (could have been shots) late last night in the Wincobank/Shiregreen area? Five mins later I heard sirens and the helicopter was out for a while. Think it was about 11.30pm

I heard the helicopter over the Longley area around that time.

The helicopter seems to be over my house very late at night.

It seems to know when I am just getting in bed and there it is over my house making its noise. I live in longley. Gets on my last nerve.

The helicopter tends to be around my area(grimesthorpe/fir vale) most nights. makes me glad to have decent double glazing.

presume it's due to it being close to the main road to the M1 rather than being a nasty area(had no trouble in 5yrs)?

i was at work in city centre and there was a pretty big firework display on for some reason, that was aroung 11-11:30.

That was between 9:30 and 10:00.
