jon&emma   13 #1 Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) Our Max is a 14 week's old Shih Tzu puppy, and i think need's his fur cut or trimmed. I don't really want it cut because he's a right little cute bundle ov fluff but it's getting in his eye's and he is getting very hot. Is he too young to be getting his first cut ? It's just like i say it's covering his eye's and he is getting very hot because he has a lot of fur.. He is also fully inoculated. Advice and recommendations would be gladly welcomed... medusa   16 #2 Posted June 19, 2015 Max is a breed that will see an awful lot of appointments at a groomers through his life, so it's definitely not too early for him to get his first appointment to have a gentle introduction to being groomed. Every groomer will be used to introducing puppies gently to being touched all over, to being moved up to the table, to allowing scissors and clippers near him and everything else.  If he goes just for his face to be trimmed then that's a good aim for his first appointment, or he could go for a bath and a quick trim. It's never too early
 Share this content via...
jon&emma   13 #3 Posted June 19, 2015 That's what we thought (lots of cuts in his life) so we need to find someone who know's what they are doing and are very professional at what they do and will be doing for him in the future. We are Willing to pay for the best for our little Maxi.
 Share this content via...
medusa   16 #4 Posted June 19, 2015 One groomer that I know is very sweet with little dogs is Moira at A&M grooming on Commonside. I have taken several of my friends' dogs in to her and they're always happy to see her for a groom and a cuddle.  I'm sure that there are plenty of others that do a fab job too- just sharing my opinion based on what I've seen with my own eyes
 Share this content via...
