crazybaby   10 #5665 Posted June 19, 2016 Here are John Manns reasons for wanting to leave, both he and Dennis Skinner are voting out:   The Labour Party is nothing if it can’t represent working class interests. But too few Labour MPs are campaigning for Britain to leave the European Union on June 23. Why? Because in Westminster people are inculcated into Westminster establishment politics too much. And people have been terrified about talking about immigration. Nowhere is that clearer than with the free movement of people, which has, is, and will continue to undermine pay and conditions in working class communities. It is not sustainable to have 300,000 new people added to the population every year. It has created two kinds of people in this country: the people who gain from this and the people who lose out.  more here:  http://www.mann4bassetlaw.com/why_i_m_voting_out_on_june_23rd  My reason is how can we trust the government to invest in our housing & services to cope with the rise in population when all governments have failed to properly invest in the the NHS, Schools etc. They need to plan better and can't do that unless we have true figures to work with, and yes I do agree with Boris about an amnesty, perhaps then we can better plan, that's if we have a government that is willing to do so and so far no government has met the challenge. Shef1985 Â Â 10 #5666 Posted June 19, 2016 No shef1985 gets his info from leftie newspapers. He's not in the real world so wouldn't speak to a tradesman who's actually witnessed it!! Â He can account for 50ish illegals that have been in Sheffield an undetermined amount of time, not thousands in S Yorks that have been here 12 years. Get the point? Â Tradesmen are not the best source of info.
 Share this content via...
JFKvsNixon   11 #5667 Posted June 19, 2016 No. He wasn't.  When he was Mayor of London and lobbying the government to relax the immigration laws, I'm sure that the current EU immigration rules applied.
 Share this content via...
Shef1985 Â Â 10 #5668 Posted June 19, 2016 Is it right that if children living with their mother in a EU country gets child support money whilst their husband works in britain? Is it right that if a husband works lets say in Poland but his wife gets sod all off the polish goverment sent over to his children? Â You are talking small amounts of money in the grand scheme of things.
 Share this content via...
El Cid   220 #5669 Posted June 19, 2016 Nowhere is that clearer than with the free movement of people, which has, is, and will continue to undermine pay and conditions in working class communities. It is not sustainable to have 300,000 new people added to the population every year.  One reason why they are a positive to the UK economy is that they often work for less than the minimum wage. If we actually enforce our labour laws, 300,000 will not be sustainable.
 Share this content via...

Norseman   10 #5672 Posted June 19, 2016 Its worth noting with all this RemaIN or Leave the EU that a further 8 EU Member countries are now giving serious consideration to running their own referendums on leaving the EU as well depending on whether the UK opts to leave. This includes Sweden and Denmark to name but two. It should also be noted that these are stand alone countries like Britain who pay vast amounts into the EU whereas the poorer countries would stay members.  The likelihood of Germany going bust if the UK and other countries were to follow suit and leave would make a significant impact to those remaining countries. Quik   10 #5673 Posted June 19, 2016 When he was Mayor of London and lobbying the government to relax the immigration laws, I'm sure that the current EU immigration rules applied.  Thats not what you said. You said he said the EU rules were too restrictive. He didn't. Hes always been for a flexible global skills based immigration policy with no special access for roma gypsy thieves or bulgarian sex offenders just because the EU demand it. Which I fully back as a sensible policy that puts our British interests first and foremost.  If we have a need for someone we get the best person regardless of where they are from. If we don't need someone then door shut. Immigration that we control in our interests not imposed on us by Juncker.
 Share this content via...

It's refreshing for a Bexit supporter to admit that the UK has such a big say on how the EU is run.
 Share this content via...

I1L2T3 Â Â 10 #5676 Posted June 19, 2016 Of course. Our current non EU immigration rules are incredibly restrictive because any bugger can wander in from the EU. Once out of that we need a more flexible system that meets OUR long and short term skills needs. But the remainians have been burbling that those of us who wish to take back control must hate immigrants for so long that they believe their own pish now.
