I neither know nor care what Farage will do if there is a remain vote.

I shall move to pressing for desperately needed reform in the hope that the sinking ship that is the current EU can be kept afloat with us tethered to it.

 

My side lost the AV referendum. When it comes up all I say is that we lost and the matter is settled.

 

If one side wins by 1 vote, then as far as I'm concerned, it's settled. I cannot speak for others.

No, tzijlstra's right on that point. They're closer to the cabinet except for the process by which they're appointed, removed and held to account.

The EU commission does have a civil service (they are sometimes lumped in when people talk about the "commission" but that's rather misleading). There are 33,000 of them.

It is a great shame about Jo Cox, and for some on the remain team to try to use it to their advantage is a bit shameful.

 

The message ought to be that her death should inspire people to take part in the referendum, not link it to one side.
