What's the gentlest way down Kinder Scout?

My knees can't cope with the steep descent of jacob's ladder! What gentle descent options are there down kinder? Preferably into Edale please!

like it or not if you want to end up in Edale, Jacobs ladder is the most gentle way to

come of kinder scout. Unless you want to come of by Winn Hill then walk back to edale by road.

Thanks Les, I suspected this might be the case. I think I'd prefer clambering down the scrambles in the cloughs to clonking down those steps!

The descent of Kinder Scout via Grindslow Knoll isn't too bad.

If you carry along the southern edge path past Ringing Roger there's a path down from SK129874 towards The Nab and then down to near the bottom of the path that leads to Grindsbrook Clough.
