geared   268 #8 Posted May 20, 2015 It's £19.50 for the council to collect the rubbish, although it's free for some and reduced for others.  https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/environment/waste/bincollections/bulkycollections.html  Council house tenants* or tenants of Great Places**, ACIS*** and Sanctuary there is no charge:  *Council housing tenants are limited to 1 free collection of up to 12 items in any 12 month period. **Only Great Places tenants who have lived in their property since Stock Transfer in April 2007 are eligible for 1 free collection per year. ***Tenants of ACIS are limited to 1 free collection of up to 9 items.   The charges are reduced if you receive income support, housing benefit, pension credit or job seekers allowance.
