Rob Haslam   10 #1 Posted May 15, 2015 This is a message from the Sheffield Walking Forum. We're thinking of setting up a Facebook page for all people in Sheffield interested in going on led walks - 'Sheffield Walking'. It would work by several volunteer contributors posting links and updates about walks carried out by Sheffield walking groups, including yours. It wouldn’t replace any pages or websites, just link to them. The idea is to help people to be well connected about what walks are going on and generally keep their interest throughout the year. For anyone wanting to announce a special walk (e.g. a charity walk or a festival walk) it would be invaluable.  So firstly we're interested in whether you think it's a good idea. Do you think there is a role for it alongside your website and Facebook page/group (if you have one).  Secondly we're wondering if you know anyone who loves using Facebook and would get a kick out of contributing. Their job would be to post anything they think would be of interest to the walking community. They would commit to 'little and often' contributions, maybe only 15 minutes a week … but the difficult part for most people would be keeping it going throughout the year.  If you think of someone who may be interested, could you/they email me?  Thanks,  Duncan McIntyre Senior Transport Planner Sheffield City Council 0114 205 3073 [email protected]
 Share this content via...
