Parking advice needed

I'm taking an elderly friend to the Montgomery Theatre in Surrey Street in the evening and need to park reasonably close by so that she doesn't have to walk too far. Can anyone suggest somewhere:- preferably that doesn't cost an arm and a leg!!

There are parking spaces across the road which you pay on a meter, my parents park there when they are going swimming to St Paul's hotel, you might be lucky and get a space there or there is a car park just down near the crucible.

Q-Park next to the Peace Gardens is a level walk to Surrey Street, nice and clean inside with working lifts.
