Recommended Posts

A friend of mine had his Giant bike stolen from outside Waitrose after leaving it for 5 minutes locked up with a wire loop in town yesterday.

Where was it fastened up ? There is normally lots of people milling around and security guards , surely someone who have seen something .

Unfortunately the only way to keep your bike safe is never let it out of your sight. Even a good D lock isnt much use if somebody really wants your bike with the availability of cordless tools nowadays. My advice would be to get insurance.

but a good D lock, all others are useless

You can break a D lock in minutes using a cheap scissor jack.

Sorry to hear this, if there is anything on forum we could do to reduce/prevent these bike thefts we should do it.
