Tony Blair gives '100% backing' to Ed Miliband..

Recommended Posts

Is that really a smart move?

BBC

I don't know how others feel about it,but for me personally,it makes me turn away from Labour even more.

The same goes for the attack on the EU referendum, whether I believe we should be in or out is irrelevant, but to say the people of this country can't have a choice doesn't seem like a very democratic country to me.

Anyhow...I just can't see Ed gaining supporters through Blair, and wouldn't be surprised if it actually had a negative effect.

It kills Blair that he isn't as important as he once was. So this is him pretending that he is still important; it feeds his ego. It won't help Miliband much.

Exactly. Labours position on this is breathtaking; the Libdems are even more fanatical about the EU but even they recognise that you have to take the country with you on matters like this and you have to respect them for that. Labour just stick their fingers in ears and go "ner ner ner ner........."

How can you be more turned away if you're not in their boat anyway?

Because it's enough to put off floating voters, who haven't yet made their minds up.

But I suspect you knew that already.

It makes you wonder why they put this ad out,

"Nobody likes to be told we can't do something. It's the same for the General Election."

As a Ukipper I think Teflon Townie Bliar is the very best thing to happen to any one who hopes that New Liebour fall flat at the forthcoming election.

As a man (I have my doubts) Bliar is more than lucky not to be serving a long stretch in pokey for his dealing with the debacle that was Iraq, and the deaths and maiming that it cost this Country.

So I hope he keeps on with his twaddle, and gets a great deal of air time also, he is the finest example of a Champagne Socialist there is.

I wonder if Mandelson will arise from his catacomb to help Bliar, assisted by Brown, now that would be the icing on the cake.

You should take a step out of the boat Mecky, the waters not as deep as they have led you to believe :gag::D

I don't swear any allegiance to any party, but I certainly won't be voting for one that rules out referendums.

And just to be clear(for the sake of having to write another post:D),I won't be voting for a party just because they promise a referendum either.:o

For all of Blair's faults, of which there are many, one thing he certainly knows is how to win an election.

You don't need to officially, but we can all see on which side of the fence you sit by your posts over the last two years
