old tup   30 #49 Posted April 10, 2015 Right I,ve had a memory recall, after seeing off my Standard Vanguard I purchased an Austin A50 it was all black buffed to within an inch of its life with Johnsons One Step!.It was in lovely condition inside and out the only problem was me,it wasn,t fast enough as I was in my boy racer mode!.My only niggle with it was the position of the steering wheel,it was right in your eye level a bit off putting and the suspension was very soft!.Every time you went over a bump it bounced too much!.I should have stuck with it but I was after a Jaguar and after a year I got my hands on a lovely Mk7 in British Racing Green so the Austin was history,a mistake in retrospect but everyone thinks they know best me included!. old tup   30 #52 Posted April 16, 2015 What about the Vauxhall cresta powerglide i had one for a few years another rust bucket It was a lovely car to drive and the ride was superb ,the bodywork was another matter one I saw was rusted right through at two years old!.Vauxhall modelled it as an English copy of the Chevlolet Impala the one I remember was two tone, pink and white with white wall tyres!.
 Share this content via...
