Were they involved in one of the wars started by Tony Blair? If so, you may want to point the finger of blame at him for not supporting them better, instead of blaming every single problem on the ConDemNation coalition.

The beauty of Sheffield Forum is that you can read a full spectrum of opinions, take the information on board, then make a balanced opinion yourself. Adding people to an 'ignore' list if you don't like their opinions is weak minded.

 

Only reading the things you want to read, and burying your head in the sand to information you don't want to read is a form of propganda. For somebody obsessed with the media 'influencing public opinion' I'm sure you already know this.

The man (and he quite obviously is male), is a narrow minded bigot. He cannot see anyone else's point of view and as soon as he (inevitably) loses an argument, he then puts the person on ignore. It is a very strange mindset. But it takes all sorts to make an interesting discussion. I don't hesitate to put this, as there is no insult cause he can't read this.

If you are prepared to make random points, and categorically state that you are right and everyone else is wrong, then you need to answer other people's questions.

Did anyone notice, no-one hugged Nigel Farage, but Ed did offer to shake his hand.

That's maybe because he wishes he had the balls to say some common sense things that Farage says! realizing he would lose too many block votes .................and no I am not a Kipper!

Naively, I think politicians should represent the people who elect them and the areas they live in, so they at least know the issues affecting their constituents. I don’t mind if they have conservative values, liberal values or socialist leanings, because, again naively, I think they should be acting in the best interests of the majority of their constituents. If we do have to have opposing political parties and an elected leader, then surely that leader ought to be taking decisions based on what is best for this country as a whole and not decisions that suit those that lobby hardest and pay for the ear of those in power. Local MPs therefore should be acting in the best interests of their voters and not toeing a party line.

SNP can never get in power and any votes will mean another hung parliament and some horrible partnership. Apologies but we need stability, not nutjobs.
