Fudbeer   12 #5 Posted March 29, 2015 Never mind the road closures, has somebody remembered the water?  I very much doubt there will be that issue again.  This years race already seems a lot better organised.  Road closures:  http://www.theyorkshiremarathon.com/media/46582/yorks_half_marathon_road_closure_poster__27.03.15_.pdf
 Share this content via...

AndrewC Â Â 307 #8 Posted March 30, 2015 Why must the roads close for these SELFISH runners??! I have an urgent trip to B&Q to make that day and this will cause as much as 5 minutes disruption to my planned route. Â Can't these tens of thousands of runners just do this in Devonshire Green or something? I pay my road tax, and these jumped up pedestrians get the benefit. Â Who even cares about running? Â It's a diskrace!
 Share this content via...
ivan edake   13 #9 Posted March 30, 2015 After last years fiasco the runners said they would not participate in another run,but here we go again with another day of chaos. Why on earth cant they keep to their word?
 Share this content via...

Ms Macbeth   75 #11 Posted March 31, 2015 Good post. Sums it up nicely.  I think this is what AndrewC was really saying:  As long as there is plenty of advance publicity about road closures, we drivers can manage without driving a specific route for a few hours. .
