Best late bars Sheffield

What good late bars are there left in Sheffield 30-50 age group don't seem to be many good ones left now??

What good late bars are there left in Sheffield 30-50 age group don't seem to be many good ones left now??

 

Plenty of 'pubs' that shut 12 ish, real ale etc. better in the suburbs. Later than that and you are struggling for options unless you like student nightclubs menzles, forum, or down market pubs like washington, that kind of place.

Not great places those three. The lack of decent options is really the reason town is lacking and the 'burbs are better.

Depends what sort of music you like. If like soul/motown 60s and 70s Bessemer and Maggie Mays. Apparently Henrys Bar have a Northern soul night on a Saturday. If not your thing, theres Browns or All Bar One (dont know what time open till but imagine late at weekends). Theres Leopold Square used to be Platillos now Cubana noticed other week Popolos closed they used to play good music. Also theres Gentings Club casino but can just go in for a drink also restaurant and have live music. Think loads of places that open late but just depends what you like.

Yeah they are! cracking music, full of characters, proper spit and sawdust charm!!!

 

And most importantly... No pretentious ten-bob millionaire types.

I agree (although not a fan of The Rocking Chair apart from when bands are on).

 

Washy and The Green Room are great additions to the Sheffield Scene

Pointing Dog on Eccky Road attracts a 40 + age group! and at weekends is always busy.

It does very much depend on what you're looking for. If it's just drinking, I'd definitely second (or third, fourth?) the Washington.
