Can you recommend me a local Youth Theatre?

Hi. My slightly timid 11 year old daughter has expressed an interest in joining a theatre group. We live in Chapeltown so north Sheffield, Rotherham, or our side of Barnsley would all be okay. Does anyone know of any? Or have experience of any?

My daughter used to go to Take Two theatre school at Birdwell, so just into Barnsley. http://www.take2centre.co.uk And search for theatre school.

 

They do regular performances and were good at giving everyone a part even the less confident ones.

Try stagecoach (the performing arts thing, not the bus company). There's one in Barnsley and at least one in Sheffield.
